Dr. Clayton is a renowned researcher and speaker on the use of
reflection to enhance critical thinking and the student experience. Her innovative approaches to teaching and learning integrate critical
reflection and assessment into traditional and service-learning
courses. She holds undergraduate degrees in English, Biology, and
Environmental Studies (1989) from NC State, and an M.S. (1992)
and Ph.D. (1995) from the Curriculum in Ecology at UNC-Chapel Hill.
These sessions on the developmental journey of learning will focus
on the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating
critical reflection into student learning, with the ultimate goal of
enhancing the student experience.
