Purdue TV show available throughout state

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's weekly news and feature magazine television show has returned to the airwaves.

The show, entitled "Discover Purdue," is the successor to the university's "Purdue: A Closer Look," which was in production from 1989 through 2000 but was discontinued last year.

The show is distributed around the state to at least 10 different stations and cable systems. It also can be seen and archived on the World Wide Web at www.purdue.edu and www.purdue.edu/PAA.

Presented jointly by Purdue's Division of Instructional Services and the Office of University Relations, the show is scheduled for weekly distribution through the end of March.

In Greater Lafayette, the program can be seen every Tuesday at 11 a.m., Thursday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. on Insight Communications Cable (Channel 13). On Purdue's West Lafayette campus, the show airs every Monday and Friday at noon and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7 p.m. on Purdue Video Channel (Channel 4), the Purdue Channel on Insight Communications (Channel 5) and the University Residences Television Antenna System (Channel 15).
